Terms that govern PRoast

1. Service description

PRoast is a software service that connects to GitHub and automatically reviews pull requests with AI-generated feedback. Reviews are delivered as GitHub pull request comments and are also stored in your PRoast dashboard.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be authorized to sign in with the GitHub account you connect and must have permission to install PRoast or otherwise grant repository access for each repository you use with the service.

3. GitHub connection

PRoast relies on GitHub OAuth and a GitHub App installation. By connecting a repository, you authorize PRoast to receive relevant webhook events, read pull request data needed to generate reviews, and post automated review comments on installed repositories.

4. Plans and billing

PRoast offers a free tier with limited usage and a paid lifetime plan. The paid plan is a one-time purchase for one GitHub repository and unlocks unlimited PRoast reviews for that repository.

For PRoast, “lifetime” means access for the life of the PRoast product for the purchased repository, subject to these Terms. It does not guarantee service availability for your lifetime or any minimum term if the service is discontinued.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. You are responsible for providing accurate billing information and for any taxes, fees, or charges assessed as part of your purchase.

6. Refunds

Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use PRoast to violate law, infringe rights, abuse third-party systems, interfere with service operation, attempt unauthorized access, or process repositories you are not authorized to connect.

8. AI output disclaimer

PRoast produces automated AI-generated review output. The output may be incomplete, incorrect, offensive, or unsuitable for your use case. You remain responsible for validating all review feedback, code decisions, and merge decisions.

9. Availability and changes

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue any feature of PRoast at any time. We may also change these Terms by posting an updated version on this website.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or create risk for PRoast, GitHub, customers, or other users.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PRoast is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind. PRoast will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, business, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.
